St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a full time RN for our Infusion Center. The RN provides direct quality care for those patients requiring infusion services which may include chemotherapy, biological agents, supportive therapies, and transfusions. Responsible for the planning, coordination, and monitoring of care with the nursing staff and other health care professional caring for the patient. Accountable for assuring effective use of available resources, maintaining established standards of care and meeting outcomes within an appropriate length of stay. Ensures that variations based on patients' individual needs are justified and well documented.
QualificationsGraduate of an approved School of Nursing and holds a current license in the State of West Virginia
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 2 years Oncology Nursing experience required. ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Course Certificate required. Oncology Nursing Certification preferred (applicant must obtain within 12 months of employment) ACLS preferred. (applicant must obtain ACLS within 6 months of employment).
SKILLS:
Peripheral lab sticks required of Infusion Nurse, competency to be obtained with 1 month of employment. Knowledge of current nursing procedures.
