Registered Nurse – Acute Care (Med-Surg/Telemetry)
Location: Coldwater, MI
Salary: $55,000 – $80,000 per year

Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for a defined group of patients. Working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, the RN ensures delivery of safe, evidence-based care aligned with best practices and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, respectful, and culturally sensitive care tailored to patient preferences and needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on nursing assessments and diagnoses
- Administer medications and execute treatment regimens as authorized
- Evaluate patient responses and adapt care plans to achieve optimal outcomes
- Document accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers and support staff
- Utilize clinical decision support tools and evidence-based protocols
- Educate patients and families regarding health status, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives
- Delegate and supervise tasks to licensed and unlicensed team members appropriately
- Escalate clinical or safety concerns following established chain of command
- Engage in hourly rounding, bedside hand-offs, and provider rounding
Requirements:
- Current RN license in the state of Michigan
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med-Surg/Telemetry experience with stable work history (at least 1 year of tenure per hospital)
- Current CPR certification (Specialty certifications as applicable)
- Must have completed 25 contact hours of continuing education, including:
- 2 hours in pain and symptom management
- 1 hour in implicit bias training
