"We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse - Progressive Care to join our team for a 13-weeks travel/contract assignment in Watertown, NY. This opportunity is open to both local and travel candidates." Job Details:
- Shift: 12-hour Day/Night
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Range: $2,160 - $2,340
Note: The traveler must have completed at least 1 successful traveler assignment. New travelers will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor patient conditions and assess vital signs regularly.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed treatments.
- Assist in patient recovery and respond to any health changes.
- Work closely with physicians, therapists, and healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery.
- Maintain clear and accurate patient documentation.
- Adhere to hospital policies and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Experience: Minimum 1 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit experience Required
Licensure & Certifications:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license Required
- BLS & ACLS Required
- PALS Preferred
- IV & IV contrast certification Required
- NIHSS certification Must obtain within 6 months
- Basic lethal dysrhythmia certification Must obtain within 6 months
Travel & Local Considerations:
Candidates residing 60 miles from the facility are eligible for travel pay.
