Assists with the administration of the day-to-day operations of safety and compliance functions and duties. The Safety and Compliance Administrator carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following areas: RCI/Heartland Coop Website applications for safety/compliance, driver’s file for DOT, training records based in safety and compliance, DOT compliance, insurance paperwork and accounting, and other.
- Assists the Director of Safety and Compliance in the development, coordination, presentation, and documentation of employee training programs consistent with federal, state, and local regulations associated with the operation and maintenance and procedures for all facilities.
- Maintain and input information into the RCI website for safety and compliance.
- Maintain DOT driver’s files and filing system.
- Assist and/or maintain employee safety training records.
- To be effective, this candidate must keep current in the areas of safety, health, environmental protection, and security relating to safety and compliance.
- Enter data into computer files relating to safety and compliance records.
- Maintains and reconciles insurance claim records as to compliance with legal and company policies.
- Serve as a resource to management, supervisors, and employees in order to assist them in effectively accomplishing safety and compliance needs.
- Compile reports/analysis for safety programs within the company.
- Must maintain valid driver’s license and commercial insurability at all times.

Education/Experience:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, accounting software and systems.
Certificates and Licenses:
Must maintain valid driver’s license and commercial insurability at all times.
