The Safety Specialist will provide primarily office-level support, with some field-level support, to ensure safe, compliant, and environmentally sound operations for all projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety:
(1) Oversee/assist daily job/crews routines for unsafe actions and/or hazards.
(2) Create/Assist with Emergency Action Plans-all locations/regions.
(3) Maintain/inspect/replace fire protection equipment.
(4) Assist with Investigation & management of injury & Job-Related illnesses.
(5) When required, help produce and conduct safety Lecture/ Meetings.
(6) When required, Conduct internal field audits/reports on Job Sites.
(7) Audit J.S.A / Safety documentation written by field crews for accuracy and SWP.
(8) Monitor and assist with Short Service Employee Program and documentation.
(9) Assist with maintaining/calibrating 4-gas meters for field personnel.
(10) Communicate expectations and need for additional P.P.E.
(11) Align with Customer requirements for gaining job site entry and maintaining compliance.
(12) As required, travel to other EST locations and/or Field Job Site visits (LA, TX and New Mexico)
Training:
(1) Share all pertinent customer-required information with Project Managers and H.S.E. Department.
(2) Assist H.S.E. Department with Coordinating training courses/events for all personnel.
(3) When required, conduct Awareness-Level training courses as qualified to do so.
Substance Abuse Program/Occupational Medical:
(1) Assist with Drug/Alcohol Abuse program (Pre-Employment, Random, Post and Client Required).
(2) Assist with Coordinating clinics for Occ Med Services for personnel in the office and field.
Other:
(1) Assist with other various departmental duties, as required.
