Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience.
- Assist customers with product inquiries and guide them to the appropriate sections of the store.
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales floor and checkout areas to ensure a pleasant shopping environment.
- Utilize basic math skills to process transactions and provide change as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and promote store promotions.
- Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
- Support inventory management by restocking shelves and ensuring product availability.
- Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus.
