Shift: Full-time
Position Summary: Upholds the Core Values as determined by the management team. The primary responsibility for all positions with Fortuna ACE is to Amaze Every Customer Every Time. The primary duties of our Sales Associates are to greet all customers and offer to help them find what they need. They will also assist in the stocking of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide a positive representation of Fortuna Ace Hardware.
- Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
- Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished helping them and when they are leaving the store.
- Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
- Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
- Forward any customer complaint that cannot be handled to a member of management.
- Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of store layout and location of products.
- Assist customers throughout the store with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
- Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
- Assist with stocking of merchandise throughout the store.
- Assist with maintaining back stock levels.
- Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the sales floor, stockroom and outdoor merchandise area.
- Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
- Assist with merchandise resets through the store.
- Help Department heads, i.e. price changes, special orders.
- Ensure signage is current throughout the store.
- Participate in store meetings.
- Be professional in appearance and actions.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- A friendly, helpful attitude, ability to work with people. A willingness to learn product features and applications to better help our customers solve their home repair problems.
- Retail or Hardware knowledge preferred, but not necessary.
Minimum Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand for an extended period, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties.
· Move and handle merchandise up to 40 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which includes lifting and performing all functions as set forth.

While performing the duties of this job, Cashiers occasionally work near moving mechanical parts. The Cashier may work near outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
