Summary
The Sales Coordinator helps the Sales team drive new revenue at Bird Dog?s hotel properties team by prospecting for new hotel business, conducting thorough market research, reaching out to potential groups and sales leads, managing administrative tasks, and coordinating numerous other sales activities. The position will work closely with the Director of Sales and Regional Sales Manager, supporting both positions and each property?s revenue team to drive results.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Research and uncover new sales opportunities
- Support the sales team by handling administrative tasks and data organization
- Prospect to new and existing customers to grow market penetration
- Promptly respond to customer inquiries and requests for proposal
- Manage customer databases
- Conducting market research and analysis
- Help administrate and execute strategic revenue plans for multiple properties
- Preparing reports
- Coordinate schedules and other activities for supervisors
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by senior management ? we?re a team that believes in servant leadership, and that no job is beneath anyone
Experience, Skills, and Education
- 2+ years of sales experience preferred but not required
- Hospitality or business degree or years of experience equivalent to degree
- Strong experience and passion for hospitality and driving sales
- Experience in Customer Relationship Management tools and Property Management Software preferred
- Selfless, team-oriented, and always eager to improve
- Proven ability to get results
- Strong IT and computer system skills
- Good understanding of revenue generation and yield management
