Overview of the SALES MANAGER Role
As a member of the store management team, you are accountable for achieving goals by providing World-Class customer service. You will serve as a role model for building relationships with customers, modeling service behaviors for the staff, and ensuring that the sales floor is stocked and staffed to meet customer needs. You will maintain presence through store supervision to ensure appropriate staff coverage, ensure that all staff members are following established standard operating procedures (SOPs), and be a leader in all areas of the store.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads the front of house store team to create an exceptional experience for customers and employees, and to exceed sales goals.
- Ensure the sales floor is adequately staffed from a sales and tactical perspective while serving as a role model for sales associates in sales generation and service by prioritizing the customer experience.
- Reinforce customer service principles by coaching staff on their successes and challenges.
- Utilize all resources at your disposal to educate team on product, improve selling skills and achieving business goals.
- Create and ensure a positive environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity.
- Role models a culture of safety and compliance in all aspects of the store.
- The SALES MANAGER is accountable for the following areas of store operations:
- Customer Experience
- Promotion Management and Execution
- Cash Handling
- Visual Merchandising
- Ecommerce / BOPIS
Criteria
- Excellent communication, organization and leadership skills
- Superior critical thinking skills to creatively identify challenges and develop action plans in a timely manner
- Great time management skills and ability to execute multiple tasks and appropriately manage competing priorities
- 2-3 years of previous retail supervisory experience or management experience in a customer service related field
- Cannabis experience preferred but not required.
- Experience in a unionized environment preferred but not required.
- Experience with regulated product categories preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift and mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques
- Full time associates are expected to have open availability to meet the needs of the business.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,640.00 per year
