Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Regional Sales Representative with a strong background in technical sales and account management. This role is critical in driving growth across the Northern California Area by engaging with biotech and biopharma clients. From early-stage lead generation to closing deals and building long-term relationships, you’ll play a key role in shaping our commercial success.
In this position, you will represent ABclonal, creating enthusiasm among researchers and scientists for our solutions. A solid understanding of antibodies and/or molecular enzymes is essential.
You’ll report directly to the Sr. Director of Industrial Sales and collaborate closely with a passionate and supportive team. Your insights will be valued and will have a direct impact on our product and business strategies. Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with biotech and biopharma companies through multi-channel outreach (email campaigns, industry events, onsite visits).
- Manage inbound leads from initial inquiry to deal closure, maintaining accurate records in the CRM and nurturing a strong sales pipeline.
- Conduct field sales activities within your assigned territory to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Drive revenue by managing the full sales cycle: prospecting, quoting, negotiating, closing, and providing post-sales support.
- Develop customized solutions using ABclonal’s product portfolio to address specific customer needs.
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing and Product teams to align go-to-market strategies and share customer feedback.
- Leverage data and insights to improve sales processes and contribute to territory growth strategies.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates, ensuring accurate and up-to-date CRM entries.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a scientific discipline (Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field preferred).
- 1–3 years of experience in technical sales, account management, or business development within the biotech/biopharma sector is highly desirable.
- Hands-on knowledge of antibodies and/or molecular enzyme technologies and applications.
- Self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, team-oriented environment and can navigate ambiguity with confidence.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage executive-level stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel domestically within the U.S..
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
- Transparent and collaborative communication style.
