Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sandwich Maker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of delicious sandwiches while ensuring a high standard of food safety and sanitation. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and customer service, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces and equipment are sanitized.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the cash register, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining a clean dining area for customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Follow all safety and health regulations in food preparation and handling.
- Participate in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
- Customer Service is a huge priority for our team. Giving the Gateway Experience is important to our brand and culture.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment is advantageous.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations are essential.
- Experience with Square POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.

Pay: $14.37 - $19.33 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
