Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Sanitation Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards within our facility, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for food production and processing. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of production areas, equipment, and tools following established protocols.
- Utilize specialized cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively to ensure adherence to procedure for specific cleaning operations.
- Follow all safety and hygienic protocol of the facility including: hair/beard net, safety glasses, steel toed shoes, etc.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain cleanliness in all areas of the facility, including warehouses and production areas.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to facility maintenance promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in sanitation, janitorial services, or custodial roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with food production or processing environments is a plus.
- Experience in industrial cleaning or commercial cleaning settings is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including weekends or holidays if required.
