Job Overview
Wild Horizon, an innovative meat-based food company, is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Sanitation & Facilities Custodian to support daily operations at our production facility. This role is essential for maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant workspace in accordance with USDA and food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Trash Removal: Empty production and office trash bins daily and transport to designated disposal areas
- Dish & Equipment Washing: Clean, sanitize, and store production tools, trays, and stainless-steel equipment
- Floor Care: Sweep and mop all production and prep areas to maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Surface Sanitization: Wipe down and disinfect food prep surfaces, handles, and high-touch areas
- Recycling Management: Break down boxes and place recyclables in the designated collection area
- Mailroom Runs: Retrieve mail and small packages from the on-site mailroom daily
- Support Cleanliness Culture: Proactively identify cleaning needs and support a high standard of hygiene
Experience & Qualifications
- Prior experience in custodial, janitorial, or commercial kitchen sanitation preferred
- Familiarity with food-grade cleaning agents and safe handling practices a plus
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in a physically active role
- Attention to detail and consistency with cleaning standards
- Reliable, punctual, and takes pride in supporting a mission-driven team

Pay: $15.85 - $16.56 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week
