This is a remote position.
Seeking to fill one SAP BASIS Consultant position. This consultant will play a critical role in providing technical support and administration for the Mississippi Accountability System for Government Information and Collaboration (MAGIC), the State of Mississippi’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system based on SAP technologies. This role will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the current SAP on-premise infrastructure as well as,
- Supporting the State's ongoing digital transformation initiative
- Migrating legacy systems to a modern, cloud-based architecture hosted on Microsoft Azure
- Work across both environments, ensuring system stability, performance, security, and scalability as MAGIC continues to evolve
- Perform day-to-day SAP BASIS administration tasks, like system monitoring, tuning, troubleshooting, patching and upgrades
- Collaborating with technical teams, vendors, and stakeholders to plan and execute system migrations, integrations, and cloud optimizations
- Ensuring compliance with security standards, backup procedures, and disaster recovery requirements
- Assisting with performance analysis and capacity planning to support growth and long-term sustainability
Possess a high level of technical expertise in SAP BASIS administration, experience with cloud infrastructure (preferably Microsoft Azure) and a strong understanding of ERP systems in a public sector environment -
