Job Description includes, but not limited to the following:
Requirements:
- Understands all rules and regulations of local and state agencies pertaining to the health, safety, and care of children.
- Previous experience teaching and/or working with young children is preferred
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule
Physical Requirements:
- Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and lifting at least 35 pounds
Responsibilities/Skills:
- Interact and supervise children; the ability to meet each child’s individual needs in a group setting
- Evaluate individual developmental progress of children
- Comfortable working with all ages and developmental stages of children
- Ability to connect with co-workers, parents, and children in a positive and respectful manner
- Maintain professional personal appearance, professional attitude, and work conduct
- Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures for diapering and potty training
- Adhere to The PREP School’s Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Comfortable teaching immersive curriculum and implementing emergent programming in a private preschool setting; ability to learn and implement multiple curriculums in various age groups
- Follow and implement classroom daily schedules and learning plans
- Ability to maintain a warm, nurturing environment, and encourage children to build positive relationships with peers
- Excellent organizational skills and time management
- Extend learning opportunities in Enrichment Classrooms
- Plan fun and exciting activities that cultivate the interest of school age children
- Ability to drive a small school bus, safely transporting children if needed
Upon Employment:
- Valid driver’s license
- Obtain Pediatric CPR and Pediatric First Aid with Rescue Breathing and Choking
- Obtain a Background Check and Fingerprint-based Background Check
