Job Overview
Corry Area School District is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled School Psychologist to support students' academic, social-emotional, and behavioral success. This role involves conducting evaluations, recommending appropriate interventions, and collaborating with educators and families to promote student achievement. Applicants must must hold a valid Pennsylvania School Psychologist Certification. This position requires a deep understanding of psychological principles as they relate to children and adolescents, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and social development.
- Assist with developing individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists.
- Work with students with disabilities to promote their academic success and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to implement early intervention strategies for at-risk students.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and necessary interventions.
Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid Pennsylvania certification as a School Psychologist.
- Experience working with children with disabilities and knowledge of applied behavior analysis principles is preferred.
- Ability to develop safety plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and educational staff.
