Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Screen Print Assistant to support our screen printing operations. This role is essential in maintaining workflow efficiency by assisting with screen setup, tear down, and reclaiming. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic who thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen Setup:
- Assist in preparing screens for printing, including taping, registering, and loading onto the press.
- Ensure all screens are properly coated, exposed, and aligned to specifications.
- Tear Down:
- Safely remove and clean screens after print runs.
- Return screens and materials to proper storage locations.
- Dispose of waste materials in accordance with safety and environmental guidelines.
- Screen Reclaiming:
- Perform reclaiming procedures, including ink removal, emulsion stripping, and degreasing.
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of the reclaim area and equipment.
- Monitor inventory of reclaiming supplies and notify supervisor of restocking needs.
- General Support:
- Assist press operators and production staff as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety and quality control standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a screen printing environment preferred but not required—training available.
- Ability to work standing, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow procedures.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented setting.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices is a plus.
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced production floor with exposure to inks, cleaning agents, and industrial equipment.
- Requires standing for extended periods and working in a sometimes hot or humid environment.

Pay: $13.00 - $17.00 per hour
