Part time to Full time position open for Screen Printing Assistant, making t-shirts and other garments for local and national markets in a non-corporate environment. Screen printing experience is preferred, but no screen printing experience is necessary. We’re looking for candidates who take pride in their work and have an eye for detail. Artistic background or mechanical background is a plus. We are a family owned, faith based business in operation since 2014.
The primary goal of the screen printing assistant is to help the screen printer move print jobs through the process as efficiently and accurately as possible. The screen printing assistant is the first in line to detect errors or misprints as garments come off the press, so attention to detail is a necessity. In the event of hiring, the applicant would also be trained and ready to assume the position of primary screen printer in the event that the primary screen printer was away. The candidates we are looking for as a part of our team will possess solid work ethic, positive attitude, punctuality, ability to follow detailed instructions, and willingness to learn new tasks.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assisting screen printing operator in all of their tasks.
- Watching for print irregularities and misprints.
- Learning all aspects of on-press and off-press operation.
- Handling and assisting in deadline-driven production schedules.
- Ensuring press equipment is clean and in proper operating condition.
- Ensuring the work space is maintained in a clean and proper manner
- Cleaning of screens after a production run
- Reclaiming and cleaning of used screens
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
