HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
During our peak season, the Seasonal HR Coordinator serves as first point of contact for employee questions and concerns. This role Supports the development, coordination and implementation of human resources programs that support the strategy, goals and objectives of the organization. This role typical reports to the Sr. Mgr. HR and is based in our Stockbridge Distribution Center.
60%: HR Administration and Compliance
* Lead time and attendance tracking and communication according to policy* Submit and respond to partial unemployment claims* Prepare and submit PA Forms for personnel changes (hires, terminations, changes, etc.)* Maintain files according to the retention policy* Support all facets of hiring events* Responsible for Worker’s Compensation claims reporting* Proactively identify and propose process improvements to create efficiencies where possible
15%: Employee Engagement/Relations
* First point of contact for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, etc.* Schedule and support execution of Skip Levels, Town Halls, Birthday Chats, Lunch & Learns, HR Meetings, Community Events, Monthly Associate Appreciation, Chat n Chew sessions, etc.* Maintain employee communication boards/monitors* Track nonexempt corrective action and/or performance counseling documents
25%: Talent Acquisition/Onboarding
* Serve as company ambassador and on-site host to all candidates* Coordinate/schedule all candidate interviews and travel* Request/submit background checks in Applicant Tracking System (ATS)* Schedule drug screens for nonexempt DC Operations candidates* Onboarding process: coordinate orientation, prepare all offer packets, new hire packages, send first-day emails, and assist with new hire orientation and material preparation, conduct new hire orientation, complete I-9 and E-verify processes* Assist with onboarding and tracking of contingent workers, contractors, and interns
WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:Must have:* Strong customer-focus (demonstrated success in identifying, understanding, aligning, delivering and following-up with internal and external customers).* Demonstrated success with multi-tasking and the ability to adapt to ever-changing environment while maintaining clear focus on all priorities.* Proven ability and experience working with data and having a high degree of accuracy.* Working knowledge of state and federal laws to include EEOC, AAP, OSHA, FMLA, ADA and FLSA* Proficient communication skills both written and verbal* Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands* Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening and/or weekend shifts, and holidays* Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio* Ability to balance multiple priorities while providing outstanding levels of customer service* Must be available to work in a multi-shift distribution environment, flexible to work different shifts and extended hours based upon business needs* Ability to circulate the floor in 500k Sq. Ft. Distribution Center
Preferred skills and experience:* Prior HR experience preferred* High School Diploma required, Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred* Prior experience of Distribution Center/Retail, or Customer Service Industry process preferred* Working knowledge and familiarity in HRIS and applicant tracking systems preferred * Prior HR Administration and Compliance a plus
