Position Name: Seasonal Weekday Dock Worker/Forklift Driver

Position Summary:
The SEASONAL Weekday Dock worker/Forklift driver is responsible for operating and managing industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries, moving them to and from storage areas, loading docks or onto trucks/railroad cars. This position works in a team environment to ensure inventories of products are accurate and all shipments are ready for transport as per scheduled time.
Pay Rate and Shift
Base pay rate starting at $19 per hour. MUST be able to work Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm.
Job Responsibilities:

- Completes all pre-shift inspection checklists on all power equipment daily before usage.
- Uses approved scanning technology to assist in maintaining inventory management.
- Assists in warehouse wide physical inventory process.
- Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations.
- Follows shipping orders and schedules while identifying, verifying, and transporting requested materials/orders on time as required.
- Services equipment as needed, reporting mechanical or electrical concerns to manager
- Moves product using tow motor (if licensed, trained, and certified), visually inspecting, and ensuring quality and client standards are being met prior to shipping.
- Will assist in loading and unloading of trucks.
- Perform housekeeping duties for workstations.
- Perform all duties as directed/assigned by Training Supervisor, Supervisor, Assistant Plant Manager, Plant Manager or Human Resource leadership.
- Comply with all safety rules, OSHA guidelines, GMP and PEE guidelines as well as any departmental/line specific work instructions and protocol.
- Comply with The Employee Handbook and all other Edge Plastics policies and protocols.
- Required to work flexible hours including weekends as business dictates.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Basic computer knowledge using Microsoft suite. Experience operating inventory scanner tools and platforms a plus.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience driving power equipment (required), in a warehouse/distribution setting preferred.
- Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program or demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
- Valid state motor vehicle operator's license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The Dock Operator must have the following abilities:
- Must be able to physically move throughout large warehouse, on foot and/or via tow motor.
- Must be physically able to climb on/off power equipment (tow motor) and operate per safety standards.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
- Read and comprehend written and mathematical instructions and ensure instructions are met and achieved upon review of completed product. Must be able to properly record quality related concerns as they arise.
- Must possess analytical and counting skills.
- Ability to communicate in professional tone and manner in both verbal and written means.
- Must be willing to move about and work in alternative departments on alternative projects as business needs require.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment in a collaborative team setting.
- Ability to multi-task with a high sense of urgency.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and/or weekends.
- Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
