As a Security Officer Access Control - Morning Shift in Concord, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As a Security Officer with Allied Universal assigned to a food and beverage production location, you will play a key role in access control, helping to deter unauthorized entry and supporting a secure environment for employees and visitors. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and utilizing access control systems to manage the flow of personnel. You will also interact with individuals in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer service while maintaining a visible presence to help prevent security-related incidents. This position offers the opportunity to work with alarm panels and technology such as computers or tablets, making it ideal for those who are comfortable with digital tools. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding security-related matters as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or observations as required by site procedures.
  • Support the enforcement of site-specific policies and procedures to help to deter violations and maintain order within the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 plus years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
