Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, visitors, and employees. This role requires a proactive approach to security, utilizing various surveillance techniques and conflict management skills to prevent incidents and respond effectively when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol designated areas to ensure the safety and security of property and personnel.
- Operate and maintain CCTV systems to monitor activities and detect suspicious behavior.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, taking appropriate action as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify potential security risks or breaches.
- Enforce rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance as required in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to report incidents or provide assistance.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in detailed reports for management review.
- Engage in conflict management strategies to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or fraud attempts.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment and loss prevention techniques is a plus.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying unusual activities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
- Must possess a valid security officer license or certification as required by local regulations.
