Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, enforcing rules and regulations, and responding to incidents as they arise. The Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring the overall safety of the facility.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure safety and security.
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activities.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies and take appropriate action.
- Enforce facility rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or security breaches.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns.
- Provide first aid or CPR when required in emergency situations.
- Manage conflicts effectively while maintaining composure and professionalism.
Skills
- Valid security certificate or relevant law enforcement experience preferred.
- Proficient in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Knowledge of CPR and first aid procedures is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and monitoring equipment.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly.
- Ability to remain alert and focused during long periods of monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff and visitors.
- A background in military service is a plus but not mandatory.
