Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Government Facility - Full Time in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a valued member of Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. In this unarmed position, you will conduct regular tours throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents and provide peace of mind to those on site. Your responsibilities will include monitoring for unusual activity, responding to incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear communication and a caring approach. This post requires driving as part of your daily duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related concerns, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and staff while representing Allied Universal.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving, in accordance with Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements. Driving experience is preferred for primarily driving posts.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
