Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Healthcare Patrol - Morning Shift in Lakeland, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This armed post requires you to demonstrate professionalism and strong communication skills while interacting with the public and staff. You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service, uphold the highest standards of integrity, and work collaboratively with your team. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report observations according to site procedures.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.
• Interact professionally with staff, visitors, and/or members of the public, addressing inquiries and providing assistance as appropriate.
• Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
• Carry and responsibly handle assigned firearms and related equipment in accordance with training and company policy.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program.
• Possess a valid corrections officer license.
• Possess a valid law enforcement officer license.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
