Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their properties. This role requires a strong understanding of security protocols, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. The Armed Security Officer will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring the safety of personnel and assets.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and other criminal activities.
- Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure comprehensive coverage of the premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Conduct regular inspections of property to identify potential security risks or breaches.
- Provide assistance in conflict management situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
- Administer CPR and first aid as required in emergency situations.
- Ensure compliance with all security policies, procedures, and regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in loss prevention or security roles preferred.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Background in law enforcement or military service is a plus.
- Must possess a valid armed security officer license or certification as required by local regulations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
