Job Summary
The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the security operations of the facility, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all personnel and visitors. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to manage a team effectively, and a comprehensive understanding of security protocols and procedures. The Security Supervisor will be instrumental in implementing loss prevention strategies, conducting surveillance, and responding to incidents as they arise.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of security personnel to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Monitor surveillance systems (CCTV) to detect suspicious activities and respond appropriately.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential security risks or breaches.
- Implement conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations effectively.
- Provide training and guidance to security staff on first aid, CPR, and emergency response protocols.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reports on security incidents, investigations, and loss prevention efforts.
- Ensure all security equipment is operational and report any malfunctions promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the security field or related law enforcement/military background.
- Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques, including CCTV operation and monitoring.
- Familiarity with first aid and CPR certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Understanding of loss prevention strategies and best practices in a security environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to pass background checks as required by company policy.
