Responsibilities
- Load and unload freight safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the proper handling of goods during transport, including refrigerated items.
- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and other necessary documentation.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road.
- Must be in good shape for heavy gas hoses and have most or all of your cards.
Skills
- Experience with gas transportation.
- Knowledge of gas tanker operations
- Strong truck driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and best practices.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous.
- Experience with freight handling is preferred.
