Your journey starts now—protect and innovate with MANTECH!MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Combat Systems Engineer to join our team working in Dahlgren, VA. This is a hybrid, part-time position requiring 2 days a week onsite, 20 hours per week.
In this role, you will support strategic planning for land-based test site capabilities. This position is crucial for planning, activating, and sustaining site capabilities to meet critical certification milestones.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support the Government AEGIS Land Based Test Sites Manager in developing and implementing long range strategic goals to streamline the combat systems test and certification process
Support the implementation of a distributive test environment and seamless data transfer between testing sites
Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders and customers to gather, validate, and coordinate tasks
Prepare and coordinate inputs for status reports, briefings, and information inquiries
Provide quality technical leadership and produce deliverables and other products with a high degree of accuracy
Minimum Qualifications:
10+ years of engineering experience with Navy combat systems
Master’s degree in a technical discipline or a Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 15+ years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of Master's degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with development and testing of Navy surface ship combat systems at land-based test sites
Experience leading programmatic meetings with internal and external stakeholders and program monthly reviews
Clearance Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active or current Secret Security Clearance
Physical Requirements:
The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
