Reporting to the GM New Ventures, you will partner with core team members to help execute a high-impact new venture at Spring Health. This is a unique opportunity to architect and scale a net-new product from inception to deliver exceptional care and measurable outcomes. This role will focus on ensuring that our capabilities are clinically effective, engaging, and safe, using best-in-class methodologies. You will collaborate with clinicians, product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers to define and implement clinical best practices and safeguards to uphold the quality and efficacy of our products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital mental healthcare, clinical product building, and deep clinical mental health skills.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver clinical product support to cross-functional teammates to ensure maximal product velocity while building products safely and with high clinical quality
- Act as the clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the internal teams by providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders
- Maintain familiarity with the latest best practices in the digital mental health tech industry and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements
- Partner with product development teams to develop capabilities that align with evidence-based care practices.
- Work closely with cross-functional partners (Product, Design, Clinical) to develop risk mitigation strategies within the product.
- Establish guidelines for ensuring compliance with ethical, clinical and regulatory standards
- Work across clinical, research, and other teams to validate for real-world effectiveness.
- Stay up to date with the latest research in mental health interventions and digital therapeutics
What success looks like in this role:
- Continuous involvement end-to-end in key product building efforts
- Strong clinical voice present in product development
- Successful clinical support to product team without causing delays in build execution
- Positive feedback from internal and external stakeholders regarding clinical product support
- Build trusting relationships with cross-functional teams including revenue, medical affairs, operations, and data science
- Deliver market-leading customer & member satisfaction, usability, and outcomes
What we expect from you:
- Be a licensed mental health provider with 5+ years of independently licensed with a masters or PhD level license in a mental health field (LPC/LMHC, LSW, PhD/PsyD)
- You have 4+ years working in the digital mental health ecosystem
- 3+ years of experience in AI-driven product development, clinical AI, digital health, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of conversational AI models, NLP, and reinforcement learning.
- Experience in prompt engineering and designing AI-driven user interactions with a clinical or health-related focus.
- Knowledge of evidence-based clinical frameworks (e.g., CBT, mindfulness, behavioral science) and how they can be applied in digital experiences.
- Familiarity with AI ethics, responsible AI, and clinical safety best practices.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in measuring and improving AI-driven experiences using data-driven insights.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills—comfortable working across product, engineering, design, clinical, and research teams.
- A thoughtful and collaborative approach to problem-solving.

The target base salary range for this position is $172,400 - $215,500, and is part of a competitive total rewards package including stock options and benefits. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using Radford Global Compensation Database at minimum to ensure competitive and fair pay.
