We are seeking an experienced server at Ellinor, an upscale casual restaurant opening soon in Appleton, WI. Ellinor is located near Peabody Park in a cozy, unique building with open ceilings, original brick and cool accents. A wood-fired oven will be the source for cooking and the menu will consist of pizzas, shareables, large plates, desserts made in-house and a well thought out beer and wine list.
Responsibilities:
- Work cohesively as an entire team to ensure a smooth service.
- Prior to service, ensure restaurant is staged and ready for guests by preparing tables, menus, drinkware, discuss menu questions, etc.
- Be hospitable to all guests and engage in genuine and personable conversation while taking food and beverage orders, answering questions regarding the menu and providing recommendations on menu items
- Maintain full knowledge of our menu to design an exceptional guest experience.
- Provide follow-up to guest throughout their visit to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and effective, respectful communication with staff and guests.
Qualifications:
- 1+ year serving experience (paid training available)
- Ability to complete various duties assigned with a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be punctual, reliable, motivated to learn, team-oriented and solution-oriented.
- Knowledgeable in wine and beer, preferred
