J sushi Brea is looking for an experienced server.
3-5 days per week. (we close every Sunday)
Minimum 6 month restaurant related experience is required.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly demeanor, providing excellent customer service throughout their dining experience.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems.
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials, and make recommendations to enhance the guest experience through upselling techniques.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to any requests or concerns.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables and adhering to sanitation standards.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Assist with hosting duties as needed, including seating guests and managing reservations using OpenTable.
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred, particularly in fine dining or nightclub settings.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and satisfaction.
- Familiarity with POS systems is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is essential.
- Culinary experience or kitchen experience is a plus, enhancing your ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
