Server - The Mob Museum
Position Overview:
Staff members in the Server/Host position play a critical role in the Museum’s delivery of a world-class guest experience by presenting and serving the Museum’s beverage offerings in accordance with menu standards while also playing a critical welcoming role to guests entering the Speakeasy exhibit space. Server/Hosts report to the Museum’s Food and Beverage Director.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Engages and interacts with all speakeasy guests in accordance to venue guidelines and procedures.
- Maintains a clean and efficient bar and work station.
- Receives guest’s orders and delivers all beverage menu items in accordance to recipe standards in a timely and efficient manner.
- Performs all duties in accordance with Health Department standards.
- Contributes to ensuring the highest quality food is served on a consistent basis while striving to achieve total guest satisfaction and a world class guest experience.
- Assists in operation of a clean, organized, and well stocked venue.
- Interacts with Guests in an appropriate and professional manner.
- Maintains venue sanitation in accordance to state and local health regulations.
- Cleans, sanitizes, organizes, and restocks all service area as needed.
- Suggestively upsells menu items to guests.
- Consistently and accurately performs all financial transactions in accordance with Museum policies.
- Maintains courteous, professional and friendly manner with fellow employees, volunteers and guests.
- Ensures that no underage guests are served alcohol, check IDs, and ensure operations of the Speakeasy consistent with the Museum’s licensing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience / Qualifications / Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a fast-paced food and beverage position.
- Basic understanding of spirits, wine, beer, and cocktails.
- Demonstrated knowledge of proper food and beverage safety, sanitation procedures, and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Must be able to work closing shifts and evenings as needed.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 9 hours).
- Must be able to obtain a Sheriff’s card.
- Must possess all required work cards including Southern Nevada Health District Food Handlers Card.

- Enthusiasm for working in an organization where change is frequent, structure is evolving, and flexibility, teamwork, and good humor are absolute necessities.
Shifts Needed:
- 2 to 3 shifts per week
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Work experience may be considered as a substitute for academic credential
Salary Range
- $12.00 / hour; Part-Time & Tip Eligible
