Overview
We are seeking a passionate and customer-oriented Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating an inviting atmosphere for our customers while delivering exceptional service and high-quality beverages. Your expertise in coffee preparation and your ability to connect with customers will enhance their experience at our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Operate the Aloha POS system efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, counters, and dining areas.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper change is given and maintaining a balanced cash register.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of coffee beans, supplies, and food items.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Engage with customers to promote new products and upsell additional items when appropriate.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or as a Barista is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create positive interactions with patrons.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
