Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Host/Server to join our dynamic team in a upscale casual dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent guest relations skills and a passion for providing exceptional service. As a Host/Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating arrangements to optimize flow and guest satisfaction.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the POS system, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated to the kitchen staff.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and service.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, including daily specials, to provide informed recommendations to guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to resolve issues swiftly to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and fellow servers to ensure timely service and smooth operations.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to safety and cleanliness standards.
- Process payments accurately using Aloha POS or similar systems, ensuring all transactions are handled securely.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or fine dining is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as OpenTable or Aloha POS is a plus.
- Strong math skills for handling transactions and managing orders effectively.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on guest services and relationship building.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude, teamwork spirit, and willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
