Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Host/Server to join our team in a vibrant dining environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role requires a friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued.
- Take food and drink orders accurately using the POS system, including OpenTable for reservations.
- Provide menu recommendations and answer any questions about food or beverage options.
- Ensure tables are properly set and sanitized before and after guest use, maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area.
- Assist with bussing tables to ensure a smooth flow of service during busy periods.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining basic math skills for accuracy.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, specials, and promotions to enhance sales opportunities.
Experience
- Previous experience in fine dining or nightclub settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with POS systems is advantageous; training will be provided for those unfamiliar.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Basic math skills are essential for processing orders and handling payments accurately.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service and helping guests have an enjoyable experience is crucial.
