Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest experiences and possess strong communication skills. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that guests have a memorable dining experience. Your ability to upsell menu items and maintain guest relations will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a friendly demeanor.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings.
- Take accurate orders using the Toast POS system and ensure timely delivery of food and drinks.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and sanitizing surfaces.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.
- Manage time effectively to balance multiple tables during busy shifts.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Server or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of culinary terms and food safety practices is beneficial.
- Strong time management skills to handle high-pressure situations effectively.
- Excellent guest relations skills with a focus on creating positive dining experiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
