Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly
- Enter orders into the POS system (Point of Sale)
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials
- Answer questions about the menu, ingredients, and preparation methods
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery
- Prepare and present guest checks, process payments, and handle cash transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and dining room
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server or in a similar role preferred
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables simultaneously
- Strong math skills for accurate order taking and bill calculation
- Proficiency in using POS systems (e.g., Micros Simphony POS) is a plus
- Knowledge of culinary terms, ingredients, and menu items is beneficial
- Ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly and outgoing personality
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
