We are looking for a dedicated person to join our Service and Support team. If you love to troubleshoot and improvise, work comfortably together with some really cool clients, enjoy worldwide travel, and want to try something new, then you should check us out.
In your role as a Thermetrics Service Technician, you will collaborate with our clients and agents to troubleshoot problems, upgrade and configure software, perform repairs and calibrations, and visit client sites around the world to provide requested services, system installation, and customer training.
General Job Responsibilities Include
Service and Support
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely on a wide variety of hardware and software
- Provide instruction on the use of our systems to customers, end users, and international agents
- Work hands-on to diagnose, repair and calibrate systems coming in for service
- Record all requests for service in specified tracking systems
- Travel (Worldwide, usually alone, up to 50%) the remainder of work time will be in-office.
- Perform on site troubleshooting, diagnosis and repairs
- Perform system calibrations
- Perform new system installations and operator training
- Provide hands-on instruction on the use of our systems
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in a related technical field
- Prior customer service/support experience with complex or technical products
- Excellent problem-solving skills,
- Fluency with computers and fast learner of new software applications
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Ability to improvise and find intelligent ways to solve problems
- Hands-on skills to perform mechanical and electrical repairs as necessary
- Strong ability to communicate and connect with clients and agents, both orally and in writing
- Proactive and highly organized to keep up with the variety of ongoing customer needs
- Excellent small team player, professional demeanor
- Flexibility - willing to contribute at whatever level it takes to get the job done
- Valid passport and vaccine record, including COVID-19
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the US. Visa sponsorship is not available
Extra Credit
- Familiarity with test standards: ASTM, ISO, and UL
- Understanding of heat transfer and thermodynamics
- 3 years experience in software applications configuration
- Fluent in written and spoken Chinese, pref Mandarin
