We are seeking an Equipment Service Writer/Advisor for our service department.
Full-Time work with benefits. Medical, 401k, Paid time off when accrued, etc.
We are not seasonal.
No up-selling pressure required. We take care of our customers.
Job Responsibilities
As a Service Writer/Advisor, you would serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician, ensuring the customer’s needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.
Additional responsibilities may include:

Greet customers promptly both at the counter and over the phone.

Obtaining customer and equipment information.
*
Clearly reporting all equipment symptoms as described by the customer to our technicians.

Creating, reviewing and getting approval for all Repair Orders, Warranty Billings and Credits.
*
Communicating needed maintenance base on age, hours, and history of the machine.
*
With the assistance of the technicians and service manager, prepare a complete and accurate estimate for repairs and acquire the customer's consent for all charges.
*
Coordinate and schedule the repairs with the service technicians. Monitor the progress of each machine, and update customers as needed.
*
Verifying that the final invoice reconciles with the work performed on the repair order.

Explaining all completed work and charges to customers.
*
Processing and following up on all warranty claims with the manufacturers.
*
Contacting the customer to pick up their equipment so we do not store it.
*
Closing all Repair Orders, Internal Billings, Warranty Billings and Credits.
Job Requirements
Prefer (3+) years of experience as a Service Writer/Advisor.
Ability to provide exceptional customer satisfaction.
A high degree of accountability with the ability to prioritize effectively.A high degree of integrity and professionalism with excellent communication skills.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Pre-employment background check and drug-screen required prior to hire.
Additional duties and responsibilities are added as needed and the industry evolves.
