Role Overview
TAS is seeking a ServiceNow CMDB Workspace Developer to support a long-term public sector engagement. In this role, you’ll drive hands-on development and implementation of ITOM and CMDB solutions using ServiceNow. You’ll be responsible for Discovery, Configuration Items (CI) structuring, integrations, and CMDB Workspace customization.
This is a 1099 contract role paying $55/hour, with a flexible remote work arrangement. Candidates near McLean, VA or Plano, TX are preferred but remote work is acceptable.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and customize CMDB Workspace, CMDB 360, and Data Manager.
- Build and maintain Discovery schedules, patterns, probes, and sensors.
- Integrate CMDB with enterprise monitoring tools and automate alert workflows via plugins and APIs.
- Manage MID Servers and ensure clean data ingestion and normalization.
- Build custom Service Maps, KPIs, and extend platform workflows.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and provide architectural input as needed.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience with ServiceNow ITOM, including CMDB, Discovery, and Event Management.
- Hands-on experience configuring CMDB Workspace and related modules.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow patterns, data modeling, and CI relationships.
- Proficiency with scripting in JavaScript and working with REST/SOAP APIs.
- Knowledge of MID Server configuration and cloud integrations.
- Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure and ITSM environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior work in public sector or regulated enterprise environments.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with Azure, AWS, or on-prem systems.
- Working knowledge of SaaS/PaaS architecture, cloud discovery, and automation.
