### Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant and ensuring excellent customer service. This is a leadership role that requires strong communication skills, the ability to make quick decisions, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
### Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff during assigned shifts
- Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and development to existing team members
- Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner
- Assist in the preparation of food items and ensure consistent quality standards are met
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed
- Manage cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy in cash register operations
- Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving overall restaurant performance
### Experience:
- Previous experience in a leadership role within the food industry or hospitality sector
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house functions
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficient in cash handling procedures and basic math skills
- Experience with interviewing, hiring, and training new employees
- Knowledge of catering services is a plus
