Shift Leader:
Food Lab Services is looking for a Shift Leader who sets the standard for service expectations by scrutinizing every aspect of the guest's experience from start to finish, and personally intervenes to correct below standard service issues and positively coaches staff to achieve the highest quality of service in all areas of the restaurant.
Our Shift Leader demonstrates and extends the same "caring for the needs of the guests" attitude with staff, demonstrating skill and care when selecting, scheduling, training, developing, mentoring, managing and leading the team according to our First Commitment: People, Our Greatest Resource.
The ideal candidate is positive, proactive, organized, has restaurant experience, and has good team management skills.

JOB DUTIES:
The Shift Leader is responsible for running the shift and serving as support management staff Manager of the store.
- Approves and manages employee break periods and time punches.
- Provides support, direction and assistance to subordinates on all areas of assigned duties.
- Reports staffing, morale, work methods, quality control issues and procedure problems to the management team.
- Assists managers to ensure and adhere to all brand and safety standards. Works alongside other employees and leads by example
- Supervise front of house and customer experience
- Take an active role in ensuring cleanliness of all furnishings, floors, and public areas
- Identifies equipment problems and schedule issues and communicates issues to managers.
- Monitor and help maintain maintenance/supply inventory, the cleanliness and good repair of the premises and surrounding areas.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of entertainment/special events
- Assist with marketing and social media programs when needed
- Supervise and execute late evening closing tasks.
- Keep necessary paperwork, file appropriate reports and keep General Manager fully informed
- Maintain good customer and community relations
- Greet customers, field questions, assist customers with ADA issues or other special needs
- Monitor and maintain good crowd control including customer queues
- Respond to and handle customer complaints and staff emergencies during shift
- Enforce building rules and regulations and operating procedures
- Monitor and ensure customer and tenant compliance with Food Lab, City, ABC, and County requirements
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- A High School diploma; college degree is a plus
- Must have a flexible schedule to meet the needs of a 24/7 – 365 day operation, inclusive of weekends, holidays and nights.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Ability to be on one's feet at least 8 hours per day and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills - clear and professional demeanor
- Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize with efficiency
- A friendly and outgoing personality - must enjoy interacting with people
- Initiative, drive and a self-starting work ethic
- Ability to lead, motivate and build efficient work teams
EDUCATION:
High School diploma
Experience in food service or hospitality preferred
