We are looking for a Shift Manager to oversee all restaurant operations, including welcoming and serving customers. These managers need to be able to handle front and back of the house duties as it is a conjoined operation. Being able to handle pressure, guest service and operations is a key strength we are seeking.
Responsibilities
- Delegate tasks to restaurant staff and supervise their performance
- Assist in training and developing staff alongside management
- Work alongside the staff at whatever station you are scheduled at for the day
- Maintain a fully-stocked inventory and order food supplies, as needed
- Arrange the schedule in the event of a call out or unplanned absence when the GM is not scheduled
- Help staff resolve on-the-job challenges
- Balance the cash register at the end of the day
- Ensure client satisfaction and gracefully handle any complaints
- Open or close the restaurant (when responsible for the first or last shift)
- Inform the next Shift Manager about pending tasks
- Report maintenance and training needs
Skills
- Good knowledge of restaurant operations
- Availability to work different shifts, including weekends
- A customer service approach with the ability to manage complaints with professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills

*Rate of pay is calculated including tips ($23.00 - $24.00)
