Summary/Objective
The Shipping Clerk position verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
Essential Functions

- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
- Use scanning equipment and computer systems to verify order completeness and generate shipping documents.
- Operate PB crimp tools and stretch wrap banders to properly package shipments.
- Package and palletize finished goods to prepare for transport.
- Load trucks and supervise outsourced loading labor when needed.
- Assist the Shipping Lead in maintaining an adequate inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Make pickups and deliveries to customers, suppliers, and vendors using company vehicles.
- Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly manner while following safety regulations.

Physical Demands
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing for 8 hours per day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
