Job Overview:
As a Shipping and Receiving Associate at AGF Glass, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, maintaining accurate records of all transactions, and ensuring timely delivery of goods to the designated locations. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute significantly to our operational efficiency.
Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments, unload trucks, and inspect goods for damage
- Prepare outgoing shipments
- Utilize scanners and forklifts to move materials within the warehouse
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate shipments and resolve any issues that may arise
- Keep warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe
Skills and Requirements:
- Experience with scanners, MRP systems, loading/unloading procedures, forklift operation, packaging techniques
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and distribution center processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping
- Frequent heavy lifting, with ability to lift 75 pounds independently
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks effectively
- Clean driving record
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening
- Pay starts at $17/hr
