Job Summary: Vitrek, LLC is seeking a Shipping/ Receiving Clerk. The position is production department-focused and will be reporting to the Production Supervisor. This is a versatile role as it will ensure the quality of both incoming and outgoing material. Job Summary: Vitrek, LLC is seeking a Shipping/ Receiving Clerk. The position is production department-focused and will be reporting to the Production Supervisor. This is a versatile role as it will ensure the quality of both incoming and outgoing material. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will perform a variety of tasks to help the organization achieve its revenue and quality objectives.
What You’ll Do:
- Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment.
- Receives, lifts, moves, stores, issues, counts, sorts, weighs, and verifies items on packing slips.
- Receives and processes a wide variety of incoming freight, including electronic equipment and components, hardware, customer returns for service (RMAs), and all other materials stocked.
- Compares incoming and outgoing shipments to bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records to verify information.
- Executes method of shipment based on customer request or company policy.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with Purchasing to rectify damages and shortages.
- Maintains appropriate level of packaging material and shipping supplies.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of storage areas.
- Follows all safety requirements of Vitrek, local, state, and federal jurisdictions.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What You’ll Need:
- Previous experience in shipping, including LTL; familiarity with common carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc.
- Ability to work OT when needed.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8-10 hours).
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
- Ability to use a computer.
- Willingness to be open to learning and growing; maturity of judgment and behavior.
- Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to communicate and maintain relationships with co-workers, other departments, and vendor representatives with professionalism and respect.
