Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping Supervisor to oversee our shipping operations and ensure the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, supply chain logistics, and transportation planning. This role requires exceptional leadership skills to manage a team effectively while maintaining high standards of safety and productivity.
Duties
- Supervise daily shipping operations, ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Coordinate transportation planning to ensure efficient delivery routes and schedules.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline supply chain management processes.
- Assist on deliveries in customers homes.
- Assist showroom staff with pulling and replacing items on the floor
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or in a similar role within logistics or supply chain management.
- Proficient in transportation planning and optimization techniques.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
