Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee operations in our facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of heavy equipment operation, mechanical processes, and concrete work. As a Shop Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing daily activities, ensuring safety compliance, and leading a team of skilled workers to achieve production goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise shop personnel and coordinate daily operations to ensure efficient workflow.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment, including forklifts and concrete mixers.
- Oversee the fabrication and assembly of concrete forms, ensuring adherence to project specifications.
- Provide guidance on machining processes and concrete finishing techniques.
- Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing safety protocols and conducting regular inspections.
- Collaborate with management to plan production schedules and allocate resources effectively.
- Train new employees on equipment operation and shop procedures.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform basic repairs as needed.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Familiarity with concrete forming, finishing, and related processes is highly desirable.
- Proficient in operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.31 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
