Job Title: Showroom Samples Coordinator
Location: New York, NY 10018
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Start Date: As soon as possible
Assignment Length: 6 months with potential renewal
Position Summary:
We are seeking a Showroom Samples Coordinator to oversee and manage operations at our newly renovated NYC flagship showroom. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining showroom organization, managing samples, coordinating travel and logistics for customer events, and supporting the execution of sales meetings and brand experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the showroom, ensuring a clean, organized, and brand-aligned environment.
- Coordinate the scheduling and execution of customer showroom visits and brand-related events.
- Maintain accurate inventory of all samples, including labeling, tracking, and organizing.
- Plan and manage logistics for customer travel to NYC for buying meetings and showroom events.
- Support sample needs for customer sales meetings, brand training, PR events, trunk shows, and trade shows.
- Maintain and update a local sample calendar to track all sample movement and availability.
- Assist with showroom catering and event preparation as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree minimum; BA/BS in Marketing, Business, or Sales preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in merchandising or inventory management.
- At least 1 year of experience in a luxury showroom environment is highly preferred.
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP), Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Able to work independently and extend hours during high-volume periods.
Preferred Attributes:
- Previous experience in luxury fashion or retail environments.
- Strong customer service and client-facing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced environments.
- Proactive problem-solving and time management skills.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
